It was an epic weekend on MARs. Two contingents made the club proud. At Don Farquarson 4K XC at Sunnybrook Park Andre Boudreault, Kim Russell Brooks and Erwin Baertschi represented the club well, with Andre leading the way in 16:16.

Trekking to PEI were Katelin Barkey, Darla Jean Coles, Tannis Wettlaufer, Kirstin Thomas, Stacy Tinkler, Troy Cox, Chris Watson, Mark Sinnige, Tony Marra, and Pierre Mikhail. There were six PRs that day. In the marathon, Katelin “Forest Grump” Barkey was the third overall female in a PR of 3:19:21. In the half marathon, Kirstin “The Sound of Music” Thomas, Stacy “The French Stinkler” Tinkler, and Tannis “The Nursing Home Killer” Wettlaufer all PR-ed in 1:57:30, 2:01:24 and 1:50:11. In the 10K Chris Watson(35:29), Troy Cox (36:12) and Mark Sinnige (37:11) went 1-2-3, with Tony Marra not far behind at 6th overall. Darla “The Snotrocket” Coles had a PR in 10K in 47:24 and was 5th woman overall. Pierre “Super P” returned to racing getting out sprinted by The Snotrocket at the finish, while claiming she was throwing elbows.

MARs continues training with 6:15 am run from Conroy Thursday and XC intervals at Limberlost on Sunday, meeting outside gates at 8:30 am, followed by coffee and treats at Prez’s house after. See you on the trails and roads.
