We are into the mud now, with November right around the corner.
MARS continues its fall racing season this Sunday November 1 at Sunnybrook 8K XC. The race is at 1 pm and we will depart via carpool from Huntsville High School at 9 am sharp. We expect to be home between 5-6pm. You get an extra hour of sleep Saturday night because of Daylight Savings so put away your excuses. Information on entering XC races can be found here.
Club members with noncompetitive memberships who plan to race need to first upgrade their memberships to Masters category. Contact us to find out how (it’s easy).
Workouts continue this week on Thursday at 6:15 am at Conroy Track with a Fartlek workout led by Big Troy Cox. Our regular Sunday run is canceled because of our race. There will be an easy run departing from LCBO Parking lot at 8 am Saturday as well.
The Huntsville Hoyas season rolls on this Thursday at the Georgian Bay Simcoe Athletic Association Championships (GBSAA) at Duntroon. We are expecting a huge storm Wednesday so expect this race race to be true cross country – wet, cold and muddy. The top 4 teams in each race and the next 10 individuals not on a qualifying team will qualify for the Ontario High School XC Championships (OFSAA). Good luck to all Hoyas! They have been working hard all fall!

See you on the roads, trails, parks and golf courses.
