Now that (slightly) warmer weather has hit, there’s no excuse for not running.
Why not join us for a track workout this Tuesday at 6:30 am at the Conroy Track?
The great thing about track workouts is that runners of all abilities can be together, and no one is left behind.
Here is what we are planning:
15-20 min warm up
8-10 x 800m intervals with 2:30 recovery jog (but if you are a newbie, you can of course do less)
15-20 min warm down.
These intervals are called Yasso 800s, named after Bart Yasso. For marathoners who have executed a training plan, it is a marathon prediction workout…….your time in minutes and seconds translates into your predicted time in hours and minutes (some say + 5 minutes).
No matter who you are, there is value in doing speed work.

PS Now that Arrowhead Park is open the Sunday 9 am runs will start from River Mill Park, with coffee at Nutty Chocolatier afterwards
