MARS Contest!

Our friends at The Limberlost Challenge have offered us four free entries for their July 13 race.  Two entries are reserved for teenagers.  To qualify for a chance to win these entries simply attend 4 MARS runs between April 2 and the end of May.  The runs are Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 am (meeting at Conroy Track) and Sundays 9 am (meeting at Arrowhead Park lower gates). Once you have attended four runs, contact us through the Contact tab at this website and let us know.  We will draw the four winners June 1 and then let you know.

Muskoka Runners had a great day at the Around The Bay 30K race today. Over 8000 runners completed the 30K race today. Around The Bay is the oldest road race in North America, first run in 1894. It is famous also for its late race series of demanding hills and The Grim Reaper who awaits suffering runners at km 26 at the top of the last hill.

MARS Track Request

Some high school students have expressed an interest in having MARS start a “track and field sector”.  If there is anyone interested in helping with this, consider coming to our March 19 Meeting, 7-9 pm Active Living Center.  They will already receive coaching through the high school team but likely would be interested in attending some Athletics Ontario Meets with our club affiliation.
